I don't believe that a spare tyre is part of the MOT test.
Only the ones on the road wheels.

No, it isn't part of the MOT but it's not road legal either so it needs addressing, in case I ever need to use it.

Bought another Rover, 25 5dr 2.0 Turbo Diesel 2002 on 60k miles, not so much a project, more of a usable car, while my 75 has surgery... It's out on loan to son in law while his Insignia is repaired. 😜

Went outside and had yet another look at the locked back seat back. Thankfully it started to chuck it down so forcing a strategic retreat. Again.

Default Seats

Just replaced the well worn front and rear Alcantra (Grey and Black leather) seats for Cream leather, Decidedly more comfortable ride with these new seats. Just waiting now to swap the door cards over to match,

John
What's to become of the old seats, were they manual ones as i know of a member owner who is after a driver's seat frame only or at least the movement mechanism forward and aft

More of a what I've done this week.

Last Friday we drove up to the Lakes, home again Sunday.

Monday took out all 4 wheel arch liners, then jet washed everything underneath before treating with Lanoguard ready for the winter.

Tuesday put everything back together, then left the car for the recommended 48 hours plus to let the Lano cure.

Today driven 70+ miles up to York and back. Filled up after all that driving (about 350 miles since Friday) and returned 32.5 mpg, which isn't too bad for the V6.

Altogether still very happy with the car and having done the underseal I've now got an incentive to keep it another year.

Default What I did today

Sorted the wing mirrors on the 180, cleaned up all the switches.
Sorted the reversing lights on the 75 saloon, took out the switch and cleaned it.
Next job is the rear engine mounting on the 180 plus fitting a new radio/cassette.
Life is never boring with a Rover/MG

I took Karen's zt to Beech hill garage for Andy to change a lower bush and do an auto gerbox oil change, while he was there he also sorted out the knocking exhaust pipe, job's made so much easier when someone else does it, , oh, and a car lift helps.
Thanks Andy....
