Are they the same batch of CD-R/RW you are trying (from the same spindle). I know some drives were always fussy about some makes of CD. A panasonic one i had wouldn't use some plain white CD-R's I already had but worked fine with just about every other make.

I would check on the manufacturer's website to see if you have the latest firmware on your CD drive.

You will probably find your CD/RW will only read CDRW+ or CDRW - . Have a look on the manafactors website and find out which one yours will work with :-). Sometimes it does tell you on top of the unit depending how old it is. Happy Computing |

New a DVD RW Writer is about £13 so it seems not worth while to buy secondhand.
See this one for example: http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/s...html?SAM-H653B or DVD Reader only and CDRW for: £11.50 http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/s...html?SAM-H492C Last edited by JohnDotCom; 11th December 2008 at 17:24.. |
