Evening all, it's been another cracking day here, very pleasant, I went down to Stockport & picked up my greenhouse glass, all fitted now.
I've been re-potting my tomato/sweet pepper seedlings all afternoon, they've out grown the egg cartons I started them off in, saw my first daffodil in bloom today, Spring is almost here.

I had leftover bangers & mash from yesterday for tea, somehow it tasted better than it did yesterday.

From next Thursday, 28th February, Aldi are selling Grim Reaper Pork Sausages, flavoured with the Ghost Chilli. This chilli is reputedly 417 times hotter than a jalapeno and is the fifth hottest grown to date
Pre-requisites for eating the sausages:
  1. 4 pints of ice cold milk - to sooth the burning sensation
  2. A 12 pack of toilet rolls
  3. A freezer - to cool number 2 above

Yikes! sounds a bit too hot for my plumbing & would induce industrial scale acid reflux

Presumably your colleague was just given a crime number over the phone for insurance purposes.
No idea Steve, he just works when he is needed, same as me, so I won’t find out more until next time I’m called in to work

I had a day from hell too, on Friday, did my first job of the day, went to move the van, key wouldn’t turn in the ignition. Much riving of the wheel and swearing later, still no joy. Called RAC, patrol arrived about 3 hours later, removed ignition barrel assembly and said the pins inside had collapsed, and a replacement was rest. He offered to either dismantle the barrel and hot wire the ignition to get me mobile or tow the van to my local garage. I asked if it had to be new or if used would do, he said used would be ok as long as it had the key. A call to the local Pug/Citroen breaker was successful, RAC man ran me across, 15 miles each way, then fitted the replacement lock assembly for me. First class service from that patrolman. I put in a commendation to RAC for his extra mile. I lost about 4 hours work, but still managed to get most of my jobs done.
NEVER BUY FRENCH VANS EVERYONE, they are #%^t and lose loads of value in a very short time.
