Default Whatever next?

Friend of my daughter came out of a shop in Nottingham to find that the bonnet of her Astra had been nicked! Is nothing safe these days?

This is happening all over the place.

Staff at hospitals all over Wales as well as other businesses are returning to their cars in the works car park or on the side of the road to find them partially stripped of body panels and other mechanical parts.

The scale of it is quite incredible being reported virtually every single day in ever increasing numbers.

Yet another example of the unfit for purpose police force and accompanying justice system which leaves burglars and thieves so unafraid of any significant consequences of such actions.

This has been happening for a few years now. A corsa a couple of years ago had it complete front end removed overnight outside the owners front door,in a tiny street with back to back houses.

I know the area, and I cannot help but admire the ability and ingenuity of these scumbags (whilst it is a shame to waste such talent, they do still deserve to lose a hand or two).

Seeing the same thing going on over here in Australia where cars that have broken down on country highways, you see wheels missing, bits taken off them if left over night waiting for towing etc.
People are becoming more opportunistic re thieving and if they think they can make a dollar from the parts its full on.
You will find the bits being sold on some forum or another.
Very hard for Police to catch them at 2am in the morning on a long stretch of highway unless somone dobs them in.

Happened to a corsa at work last year, it belonged to 1 of the students who lived in the onsite house. Parked on the road overnight, came out in the morning and it had been stripped of the bonent, wings, headlights, and bumper.

Over the last few years there’s been a few incidents like this, and it’s always been corsas that have been targeted.
