I bet if the licence payers actually looked at the salaries it would not be considered cheap entertainment at all. And yes I do watch it.

I'd say it was very cheap... because even with the big salaries, it actually MAKES money for the BBC, what with worldwide broadcast sales, licensing, DVDs, magazines, etc etc.
