Hi one and all that have given a response.. I'm pleased to say that I took my car to a local car sprayer and he has done a great job.. The LEF coded paint was actually more brown than the awful spray can that started the trouble being overly grey.. The paint sprayer added some silver to lighten the LEF paint and persevered for a good match. He also recommended spraying the whole side under the chrome strip.. Did the whole job fo £250..and made my car like new... Advice here is don't buy the over priced so called match spray cans from the net.. Just go to a recommended car sprayer..
Alls well that ends well.. 👍 |

There is an auto paint supplier local to me, I needed to touch up under the front spoiler, I was there about 30 minutes and they matched it perfectly in a spray tin and I also got a small tin mixed for touching in spots, they use a card that they spray the mix on then compare it to the part that you want to paint, they adjust the colour and when you can no longer see the card on the paint the colour is done, they can also add lacquer to the paint if your not going to use it separately.
If anyone is interested. Breakwells |
