My cheap Autogrip tyres were fab today. Actually overtook a Range Rover which was struggling to get a up a snowy B road hill!

It's all about driving style. As I used to live up in Aberdeen, I got used to driving in the snow. The key is to get momentum up, and be smooth. And avoid the muppets on the road

Also, the auto gearbox 'snow mode' works really well!

Understand that autos are very good in the snow when put into 'snow mode'. Is that correct?

They are not bad, I passed a couple of dumped cars on the hill to my place, although you still have to be careful.......

Despite the last owner putting the best on the car(one owner) the Michelin tyres, which are the higher end make, are bad on the snow. I have trouble getting up slight inclines? Tread good.

Cant complain great in snow only complaint i would have is that you think you have more grip than you prob have and are inclined to drive faster than you should, but goes almost anywhere

Snow Mode just misses first gear, you can do the same in a manual if you want... in fact it's probably the only way I got home tonight!

No different to what you should do in a manual in those conditions i.e. pull away in 2nd.
Southend Utd training ground to Little Baddow today,a nineteen mile 25/30 minute journey, took me 4 hours. The mess some people got themselves into was unbelievable. What made it worse was if my sons training had finished 15 mins earlier we'd have missed the lot!

Mine is without doubt the worst front wheel drive car I have ever owned in the snow, I love her to bits but she is rubbish.
My grandaughters Micra 1.0l is like a little tractor.
Tyres may play a part 225/45/18 Khumo.

Anyone know anything about Honda CR-V diesel, Looking to change the wifes car for a 4WD
I've turned Blue and cant turn red until the great masters of banking, Santander can issue a card to replace one that was cloned,The one they issued no retailer can recognise, As such Pay Pal has the brakes on as well.

My Zt is absolute garbage in the snow, i have no confidence in it at all. Went out in my girlfriends auto Volvo S60 D5 and with the winter button on it was fantastic, way better than mine and her tyres are almost the same profile as those on my Zt.....grrr!
