This looks like your card > http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/A...specifications if so you can pretty much get what you want.

Your card supports a resolution of 2560 x 1600, but most monitors at that res will be over a £1000's see here > http://www.ebuyer.com/search?page=1&...%2C2560+x+1440

Within your price range, you could perhaps go to 1920 x 1200 > http://www.ebuyer.com/202805-hanns-g...i-3ms-hz281hpb

But if you are already running at 1920 x 1080 then you are only gaining another 120 pixels

The actual dimensions i.e 27" means that when displaying at small resolutions, everything will be bigger.

Are you currently running at 1920 x 1080 on your existing monitor?

Yeppers Sikelsh, that is the card I have, and it's on 1920 x 1080.

What I am looking for is a taller monitor, this ones only 275mm screen height thats only (about) 10.3/4 inches x approx 20 inches (horizontal size) So effectively 2x1. A basic 19 inch 4x3 screen is taller than that innit!!!

But all the "big" monitors are widescreen!!!! So they limit the size of portrait pictures.. wahhhh... :xmas-smiley-014:

Roughly speaking I want a monitor with at least 14 inches of working height.. Any ideas please??

Default Sorted! :)

Well I finally gave up trying to understand all the techie stuff I was wading through, bit the bullet, and bought a 1200x1920 screen.. Oddly enough it was over £150 less than I expected to pay for one..

HannsG HZ281HPB 28-inch LCD TFT Monitor ...

Trying to suss out the actual size of screens is a real pain, as the idiots give the height "including stand" but don't say what size the bloomin stand is!!!! :xmas-smiley-014: If it turns out smaller then my existing one it's going back by return innit!!! lol...

1920*1200 = 16:10 aspect ratio

With a 28" screen and a bit of maths you can work out the height.

Hiya Jakg.

Hmm I know the length of the diagonal, don't know either of the other side lengths or the angles... If my trig was up to date I suppose i could work it out from the given 16x10 ratio. But not done any trig since the Romans left, so.. hmmmm....

Think I will wait till it gets here and measure it! ..innit.. lol...
