Are you using Google chrome as a browser?
If so click on the three lines top right hand corner of the screen ( customise and control google chrome) Move the cursur down to tools on the menu and then click on " extentions", on the sub menu you will see an icon "bcool 1.0", either disable it ( untick the box) or click on the bin symbol to remove it from chrome Close the forum and open it up again

Thats quite a common thing on some websites, its just links to products or websites that relate to the word that is highlighted. Think you can turn the option off in some browsers. I get it a lot when reading the problem page on the dailystar website, that page is full of links.
Have you added any 3rd party toolbars or the like recently? Last edited by stevecsy; 16th May 2013 at 18:16.. |

Sorted! I had added Firefox browser to my PC, and when I looked in the "add and remove" list there were a couple of things I didn't recognize, so I deleted em innit.
*touch wood* everything seems OK now... I have been adding loads of stuff due to having done a reformat on my C drive. I had to do that because on bootup (Tuesday am) I got a screen with no icons and a Small black DOS box top left with a flashing cursor.. But it wouldn't accept any commands... I couldn't get out of it, tried all the usual stuff, couldn't get into safe mode, system restore, repair, etc etc.. so had to reformat and start again innit.. More or less sorted again now though.. Thank you for the help gentlemen. ... Last edited by James.uk; 16th May 2013 at 18:55.. |

hi
A useful piece of software to have that i use it something called Hirens Boot CD. It loads up a cut down version of windows, from within it you can run anti virus stuff, recover data and stuff like that. Its a pretty good piece of software and its free. |

That sounds very usefull Steve.. I will go look for it... taaa innit...
I used to use Norton Ghost on a floppy and save a copy of my C drive to another internal drive as a file. Then, if I encountered a problem, I just booted from floppy to ghost, and copied the file back. But sadly the floppy no longer works for some reason, it just opens the ghost programme, but it wont run now... ... |
