I've got the paid app and am using it on a 2003 diesel tourer. I've found it useful for checking MAF values, engine temp values (checking stat) and also throttle position ( to make sure I actually achieve 100% when fully pressed).

I had some pictures of my readings but must have deleted them I have the paid for one and what`s a couple of quid to have a bit of fun. If it shows something is not quite right you can always follow up with with a T4 check, which I would say is a "little bit better" then Torque Ken. |

As I said earlier though, unless a diesel variant is fitted with an NNN500340 ECM the coding is not present to read via OBD protocol. Clear enough? Brian |

If you are using Torque to read an early, and by that I mean pre 2002 automatic, provided the ECM is running the latest version of tune, you may get fragments of data, bourne on the K-Line Sadly however this is not actually of much use, because depending upon the revision of firmware in the adaptor, the decoding of the data will be corrupted and give spurious readings. Pre 2003 manual cars fitted with NNN100692 ECM modules have zero OBD compliance, and I do mean that in the most sincere fashion Brian |

That is if I can find it I like the Pscan diagnostic and use that mainly. Unless our friend is knocking about of course. Ken. |
