Hi David.
That was a quick decision and turnaround from the Rover 75 you posted about today.

Hope this car works out for you.

Is it this one

Had no choice really. Mom's mobility isn't getting any better and this car came up for sale literally down the road so I was able to inspect it. It was also cheaper that the Rover.

Here's a pic

Hi David
First impressions looks to be ok, will it be serviced for you before they let it go, or has it been done already.

I think the BM had the flaps in the manifold ? which are best closed off or removed, Jamie will be able to give you more advice i should imagine.

It was serviced not too long ago, however for peace of mind I'll probably do it again.

I can confirm it is a flap engine, so one of the first jobs I'm planning to do is get the delete kit for it.

Well that was a good start - I ran out of fuel.

On the way to the petrol station!

Hi David. It looks a nice car. A lot easier to get into if you have trouble getting into the likes of our 75/ZTs. They didn’t leave you much fuel in the tank did they. Tight so and so’s.

It was partly my fault - I was too busy getting it back home to realise just how little fuel was in it.

Still, all sorted now.

Gave the X3 a proper drive tonight (after making sure I have fuel it in lol) and all seems well. Smooth gear change, M47 engine making all the correct noises, plenty of grunt, and apart from needing some minor things here or there seems very solid.

Hi David.
Did you part chop the HRV or send it to the scrap yard or sell it as spares or repairs, if your battery was newer on the HRV did you swap it out for the one on the BMW
