I have 18" straights with 225/45/18 £60 per corner tyres on. I have had £170 per corner tyres on and it still handles rubbish.

honda try to get shot of anything form their so called warranty, not buying another honda again esp from main dealer. The stereo went on ours and we had to pay £600 to get it fixed although the car was under warranty!

Mine handles fine and has always drove as would be expected at any time of the year except for the lack of grip in the snow, Its still sitting in the same place unable to move since last wednesday but still I've got until school reopens on the 4th Jan and by then it may be a starting issue

No problem with my ZTT apart from a few intended slips around a car park on Sunday.

Well the A4 Quattro you said got stuck either had a moron driver or 4 bald tyres!! They just don't get stuck where a 2 wheel drive can go!! lol
As for the 75, well mine is an auto and has coped fine over some really dodgy going lately, I just press the snowflake button before setting off to let the tranny know it's icy |

Do you really drive on 225's in the snow?
I would'nt even consider that here in Norway. It's 6-7" with snow here, and more is expected. We use wintertyres in winterseason, and i've never been stuck in snow with the 75. Actually i think it is a great car that handles the snow and ice very well. My wintershoes are 205/60x15 and the thread are designed for driving in snow and ice. I also have a set of studded tyres as well, but as we have to pay extra roadtax when we use studded tyres, they are left in the garage. All this means that i actually have 3 sets of tyres for the 75, all on alloys. Also have 2 sets for my Volvo C70, so garage is really filled with wheels |

Terrain has to be taken into consideration too - we don't all live in the same place! I've found that both the 75 and ZT are OK driving even on compacted snow once you get going and are on the flat, providing great care is taken and the road ahead is well read in order to avoid cornering too fast or braking too hard. But give them a decent hill (not a slight incline, a proper hill!) and they both proved to be completely useless and needed tracks digging in order to get out of a pickle - no spade in the boot is not an option in this weather for me! As for the winter tyres argument, for me personally it's out of the question as the cost of four tyres (approx £500?) plus a spare set of wheels (£200 if you're lucky) cannot be justified for the sake of a few days a year - fortunately staying at home when it's really bad costs me nothing, if this were not the case then I would consider it.
