My tongue in cheek is lost in the written word. Shame really, it can be quite appropriate at times

Last time I saw one of these for sale on e-bay it went for £190 I pulled out at £120..... There is a limit, and these watches do come up periodically...

But the market is set at what it sells at.... If it does.....

A certificate of authenticity and a valuation from Ernst & Jones would be helpful to any prospective buyer showing interest. I hope the OP takes my comments positively.

I dont think its fair for people to be giving negative comments over an OP set price. It will either sell or it wont. All it does is put people off

My apologies for the above comments which I made earlier on. I was on my phone and had missed the facts, that OP lives in Athens and that he does not have the original papers or box.

It would be interesting to hear how he came to have the watch and its history. I remember seeing watches like these in the MGR showrooms in glass cabinets. The fact that the clock face is in kph, implies that it was made for the continent or further afield where kph is the standard. It is possible the price he is asking for could be reached. I am not looking to buy.

Anyway, good luck to the seller of this fine looking time piece

I agree with you Alan, but like others I suspect the seller hasn't really done his homework on what watches of this nature at fetching I don't think its a chronograph and they do fetch high prices,he could send it to auction with a safeguard price so he gets it back if it fails to achieve the set price. Anyway I wish him luck whatever he decides to do

I'd love one, but may have to make do with strapping one of these to my wrist.

(apologies to Klarzy for using his pic )
