Update for anyone interested.
After about a month of back and forth and getting messed about I've taken it to a local garage that have been superb! They have unfortunately bought with it the news that the head needs replacing as its warped (he reckons this was done when the previous work was done but the dodgy garage has put it back together and not told the customer, hence it going again so soon). Being blatantly honest I have been at my wits end with it all and was going to pack in all together. However, after speaking to the mechanic at length and him telling me he could put it back together as it is (as I mentioned I would be selling it) if I wanted. I've decided to bite the bullet and replace the cylinder head and get everything fitted now and keep it. I love the car, I really do, even after all the grief its given me, everyone thinks I'm bonkers Maybe I am, time will tell I suppose. |

Glad your getting this sorted, shame the garage are cowboys but it's good that you have found a good garage to do the work

No your not bonkers. I have had to have my head gasket replaced twice now after a botched job the first time around. Total cost of around £1600 for the two jobs - it was disheartening at the time but worth it - no trouble since and a fantastic motor. |
