Default V8 ecu

What a disappointing mismatched cobblement of electricals assortments on the V8.

Personally I'm surprised any of these hateful things run at all

Kit car anyone?, probably more reliable

Pektron should have stuck to making diode packs

Maybe you are right, I don't know.
I notice mine at times will flash the charging light, and occasionally the A/C will do an impression of the deepest interior of Congo, on a hot day!

But apart from that, the ECU is mainly FORD I believe, and the problems that are seen is in the translation from American to English, somehow, I guess?.

I know the Rover chaps insisted on interfering with the system for the function of the dif lock, and that thing really works badly.

But I hope it is all reliable, because if it does not get any worse, I can live with that.

Reliable, the only reliable thing that can be said about the V8 electronics is they're unreliable.

Diagnostics are unfinished, I had something happen to me last night I've never seen before, T4 actually has an APOLOGY SCREEN, stating that ECU renewal was not possible.

How on earth the poor dealers felt when confronted with this sort of half baked madness, and indeed how could MGR have possibly thought it was acceptable to release what in effect were 883 production prototypes on an unsuspecting public.

Nice exhaust note, and reasonably fast, however that's about all you can say about them.

Aah, you have an MG.
Mine is a Rover, and it is as quiet as anything!

And automatic!!

So nothing on the exhaust note, and less on oomph!

But I love it!

Just sell it if your not happy, I'm sure someone else will put up with its oddities, after all the rest of us prototype owners do

Maybe Colin but as you'll be aware some of the 260's can be, lets say, reticent in talking to T4.
