Or so it says on some scrappy hand-written repair invoice! I have to say, I have no issues with the brakes at all, long may that continue! I just noticed the car had a new clutch and fly wheel done in 2014 as well...almost £900 ouch!

The tyres are all 235 45 17, and I'm going to fit red rim guards, and maybe even valve lights (red, of course!), not that I drive around much at night...or anytime, really! Then I'll have a look at getting red centres as well, or somehow have the Rover ones accentuated. Rick-sta, eat your heart out!

I'll wait to see how your grill turns out before committing mine to a paint job
The front pads are Mintex, the rears Blueprint

I still like silver wheels, and definitely like the Serpents against Firefrost, Starspokes look good in silver, with the rebate picked out in black.

Crowns on a mark 1 for me, particularly an early one. And probably Vikings on a mark 2 .............

I am guessing that will be the most unpopular choice/opinion on the forum lol.

The crowns to me are understated, whilst Vikings do not look like they are attempting to be sporty, hence my thoughts.

On the duo tone though, I think would quite like suzublu's steels painted with the chrome hubcaps. To me this suits the style of a duotone

Thanks, Brian! You should go on that "Pointless" tv quiz show, finding the answers that nobody else knows!

Seems to be a fair bit of brake dust, photos below. For new alloys, only done 25 miles or so, seems a lot of dust...and that's after I wiped them yesterday!

I've ordered another water lance! Can't be doing with getting my new wheels all corroded!!

That does look quite a bit of brake dust for such a short travel distance?

mine did not have that much after two weeks of driving

I would have to go with Crowns in the winter the wheel is very sturdy and gives you the 65% profile needed during the bad weather. In the summer I tend to fun Horseshoes but only because they were in abundance up hear. The Spice Tourer is still on her winter Crowns, she came to me on Horseshoes now in the side garden. I Have managed to source her a set of Unions which is what she came off the production line with. Both the unions and the Horseshoes have now got new rubber on them. Took me a while to find a set of five Unions.

That's just the chalk outline the Police left behind after I ran him over (r-over...)

...not that he dented my bumper much...
