Krown Rustproofing
Hi guys
Just wondering if anyone has had Krown near Brum do their car? I've been looking around at all the places and types of rustproofing so as to make a decision what I'm doing next year after the underside is finished. The Waxoyl and Dinitrol places seem to be very expensive at around £500 for a 75, and the Krown method doesn't seem too shabby from the videos. (There is one of a MG ZT being done) It is clear, not black, but as long as my car is saved from salt etc I'm not bothered about that. Am very interested at this point. Anyone used them/got any opinions? Dawn |

I'm on the other side really. Just thought that the Krown version just look like they just sprayed oil everywhere.
Personally........I would waxoyl mine |

To be honest, I had a bit of a bad experience with Waxoyl where it actually let water under it. I don't know it that was a one off thing or not - I have been considering these guys, as I used some Dinitrol myself in the sills and was quite pleased with the stuff. Only thing is, it takes two days and it would mean hiring a car to get home while they do it.

What sort of guarantees do they give for their treatment and work? And do they sort it out if something goes wrong? I'd be looking at the terms of the deal. The anti rust methods are likely to be fairly similar. Problem with waxoyl is making sure it goes everywhere to the right thickness.

I spoke to Krown on their FB page, and they said depending on the condition of the car when they do it, they give upto five years guarantee. I can't see anything like that on Rustbusters site, and it does have t0 go back there every year for a "top up" at a cost of £50.
