Anyway, many congratulations on the project!

Hello Peter, I was surprised and flattered you should comment on my vision of the coupe....thank you. It must have been frustrating for you to design a new model on a limited budget; if there had been more money and commitment from the Board and the coupe had made production, Rover may have been producing cars still.

How amazing for you to have been involved in such iconic names as Lotus, Jaguar, Lamborghini, McLaren F1 and Rover to mention a few. What a career! I entered a competition when I was 19 sponsored by Vauxhall Motors (Vauxhall Craftsman Guild). We were asked to design and make a model car for the future. The winner was guaranteed a job in what Vauxhall called their design centre....The House of Secrets. I was the runner up. I often wonder what might have been! But I count my blessings regardless.

I will take up your suggestion and post a short story on your Facebook site in the case that some of your followers may be interested.

Regards, Gerry

Fantastic Gerry.

I know he was thrilled with the design and that someone would go to so much effort to re-work the coupe. I am sure it bought a few good and maybe not so good memories back....

Congratulations on the work. It is spectacular.
