Default Rover 75 limousine advice

Hi everyone. I'm buying a 75 limo. LWB. My question is will this cost more on the insurance. The car left manufacture as a connoisseur but recalled by Rover for McNeille conversion and upgrade. The car is not recognised on log book as LWB .
Would the insurers need to know, will it increase my premium. Do I have to declare as a modification by Rover. Anyone owned one before and know the answer.

Thank you

I'd be surprised if they didn't use it as an excuse to bump the price up. I'll be interested in hearing the answer myself.

When you apply for the insurance, one of the questions they ask is has it been modified in any way.
I suspect you should tell them at that time. or they can subsequently refuse to payout if you have a major accident.....

Mine was no different to a normal 75 as far as my insurance was concerned.

When you have sorted your insurance tell us what were some of the upgrades are apart from stretching, interested to know what else they did.

Not sure Leon, but I bet I know a man who does....

Trying sending a PM to Limorog

Would you be giving up your current 75?

As Lee say PM Limorog, I think he has the details of all the McNeille built vehicles, he'll be happy to help you out I'm sure.
Cheers Ian

I have owned a few and never been any different on any insurance that is with Peter Best insurance.

I suspect LimoRog has them covered on his companies policy rather then individually.
