Default Plugging IPK to test Mileage

Bit of a strange one....

I am trying to save a ZTT V8. The clocks (IPK) disappeared from the car 10 yrs ago and the car has been in storage all that time. I have the car and after a bit of detective work found the IPK and bits in storage with someone in Ireland.

Now the car is not running and Jaime has offered to plug this in his IPK tester but was curious if I pulled an IPK from one my cars and plugged this in what would happen. As it's a bit like a kid looking at his Christmas presents.... and having to wait until boxing day to open them....

The reason I am curious is that this car was on the road for approx one year. So I have no idea of mileage at all and this should (I hope) show the last mileage.....

The mileage store is in the LSM, and can be read using BMWScan 1.4

Thanks Brian

I have the original LSM (I think) was not attached to the car but was in the car.... The V8 has no power to it and won't for a while.

Will this IPK show the last recorded mileage once power is to it, i.e plug it into a tester or as wondering another 75 and the milage will show up

Yes the IPK will show the last recorded mileage on it when it is plugged in, they don't forget it when unplugged from the car. Unless they have been plugged into another car then they will go up I believe.
