Default LWB Value

Dear all,

I'm considering selling my Facelift 2.5 V6 Connie SE LWB.
McNellie privacy glass to rear.

It sits on 15" wheels with four almost new Dunlop Blue Response, less than 300 miles use.

It passed an MOT today with two advisories; Coolant pipes below Rad and rear Wishbone corrosion.

It needs the belts renewing and an upper inlet manifold.
The body is generally solid with some age related crazing to paint, it needs the Sill/B post area welding and the bottom portion of one rear door.

Any suggestions as to what might be fair value or am I better off stripping it and selling the parts?

Many thanks!

I would say that it is probably worth about £50 delivered to my door please!

Being a LWB, l would hope that breaking it wouldn't be on the cards.

I suggest you put the car up For Sale in the correct section with a full description including any faults plus some photo's and a price and go from there.

I don't intend giving it away, in parts alone its worth roughly £900 so yes, breaking is an option.

I'm trying to gauge whether its worth bothering with, save for photos I've given its bad points already. Should the consensus be its worth £200 I'll strip it and scrap it.

If I strip it, the parts will be sold, it will go to the scrappy.
I'm trying to gauge what it may be worth as it stands.
Scrap value is about £50 collected
Parts value about £900
So to be worth my while it will have to go for more.

Relax a bit.

I get that this is an economic decision for you, but if there's a way to optimise your return and see the car back on the road, surely you'd want that?

If the sum of the parts are worth more than the whole then obviously it's a no brainer. The belts needing doing alone probably makes the car worth very little to anybody who isn't able to do the work themselves.

I agree with previous comments, post in correct section 'For Sale' put a legitimate price on it and see what happens, this thread is just a 'fishing for options, but remember now that you have openly said you will dismantle the car and sell the parts, should they appear on the forum sections you can then be seen as a 'trader' and therefore be subject to trader subscription to sell the parts.

If any mods are viewing please correct me if I am wrong or outspoken
