New Carpets
Has anyone in recent years procured or fitted new carpets? - I'm thinking of custom carpets....IF so, are there any recommendations and rough prices?

Good question Steve. All I can find are mats. I'd love to know about a new carpet too

Some 10 yrs or so back, at my fist ever national meet, I had a conversation with a chap who did (amongst other things) bespoke carpets for our cars. He had one fitted to his tourer (which went on to win the Gryphon trophy). He told me he used the same carpet as Bentley used and charged around £600 or so to supply and fit if I recall correctly. More importantly though, I asked him how he got around the issue that our carpets where moulded with copious amounts of shaped foam backing. He told me that he left the majority of the OEM carpeting in place and fitted new over the top.
Might be useful info if you looking to source aftermarket replacement. I should add, his carpet looked lush. Cliff

Hi Guys - yes you are both referring to Andy (Express Valeter) from what used to be EMS. However I spoke to him 3 years ago or so and that avenue was no longer in existence unfortunately. I know exactly the car you are referring to - and that's exactly what I'm after!
The carpet in one of my ZT's is sodden - and I'd like it replaced really.... |

Yup, that was the chap. Sorry I can't be of more help - would it be worth searching for car trimmers in your area?
