Default Boiling up!!

Hi all. New to the zt v8 scene.
Just bought my first mg zt 260..
But it's throwing coolant out the expansion cap.. Now I tried a new one(from my v6 zt) with the same rating and still does it..
Also heater seems to be constantly blowing hot.. Could this be related??
Many thanks in advance

I drove it for 3hrs to home and seemed OK apart from smell of coolant and heater stuck on hot..
I've had my Bluetooth diagnostic tool in and it starts coming out from cap at around 76-78deg so not boiling..
I'm going to remove thermostat the weekend to see if this helps. Seems like a circulation issue..
Car has done around 154k miles.. Runs very smooth but could benefit from a service

Three places to check, thermostat, heater valve and water pump.

I'm betting water pump. All replaceable

Thank you.
I'm pulling thermostat out the weekend.. Water pump seems OK.. No leaks wobbles or noises from it but heater still constantly blowing hot air.... Apparently it's already had a heater valve change..

Be careful that you are not overfilling the expansion tank; the marker for the MAX is almost at the bottom of that tank and can be difficult to spot. Too much fluid will be expelled as the system does it's job.

Thermostat removed.. Still comes out from expansion cap but at 92 deg.. Checked thermostat and it opens but new one ordered anyway.
Water pump next.. Collect it Friday.
If that don't work then its got to be heater valve I guess... Where exactly is it? Is it that by pollen filter?

If all is well with cap and thread and no cracks in the plastic, it sounds like a head gasket leaking combustion pressure into the coolant, forcing fluid out.
Do a test.
