Default Double DIN adapter bezel for R75/ ZT

Just wondering whether anyone here knows of a UK supplier of E46 BMW 3 series double-DIN fascia adapters? The only ones I've found are in the USA... And pricey too.

I am thinking of getting one of these to install a Kenwood or Alpine DVD head unit (with the option of going for full sat nav later) as an alternative to the hi-line sat nav option. Would be interesting is anyone else were planning the same thing?

Hmm -- just wondering whether it would be relatively easy to adapt a single-DIN Iovox fascia bezel?

Can anyone measure the distance between the base of the ICE apperture and the top of the trinket tray?

Thanks!

Rob, Geraint has bought one of those, silly money iirc (£104) for a piece of plastic!

The mounting holes are wrong we need one with holes at the top those wings must be cut off

I am interested in this too as I am in the do I don't I stage re rerofitting Hi-Line, I am not in to paying £104 for a bit of plasic though!

I need one too for RoverPC - I was going to get an Iovox fascia adaptor and hack at that. The intention is then to cover with black leather (faux equivalent) to avoid having to respray.

I'm chatting to the chap that Geraint bought his bezel from. They're 110 quid delivered - which is too pricey, but at least the quality looks good. Plus, this guy is prepared to make a Rover/MG specific version with the location lugs in the correct place - which is rather more attractive for us...

The alternative - to modify the Iovox bezel - is not exactly cheap either when you look at it; it costs nearly 50 quid - and the end result is hardly guaranteed, which is making me nervous...

So I am considering this E46 option - especially if he's able to make it more in keeping with the MG Rover 'style'.

He's asked me whether I think that there is a market for these things. I said that I thought that there was - albeit limited in size. I do believe that the cost is an issue too. At what price level do we think that there is a market for him to make more Rover/MG double-DIN adapters do we think? I would put the ceiling at the 50-75 quid bracket...

I would say £50 - because above that I would be ready to hack the Ivox bezel ...

I would get one if he could make the lugs in the right place. Im no good at modifying things, and forking out £110 to mess it up would drive me nuts!

We should get a list of interested people going (like we have with the Rustmaster and door handle finishers). If we can get a decent batch of people to commit in one hit, maybe we can get a discount out of the guy.

Hm. I have an Apple Ibook G4 with a dead display. Maybe I should just "Mac My Rover".
