TV Shows Of Yester-Year
'Ah, they don't make programmes like that anymore' is a phrase I hear quite a lot at work, so I thought it might be quite fun to look back and take a trip down memory lane. What shows do you most fondly remember from your youth?
I'll kick things off with this little theme tune voted in 2003 by The Penguin Television Companion to be the best television theme ever?.... (sorry pab) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZXzmGTR0GQ

Or for Sci-fi fans how about these two, both made at the 'BBC sandpit' a quarry used by many shows where an alien background was needed

That "on white horses" took me back 35 odd years to summer holidays from school and watching TV in the morning, brought a tear to the eye with the realisation that i'm now an old man.
