I quite fancy this for our remaining zt just incase.
I've an old laptop so I'll check out the spec.
Well done for making this available to members.

Superb work Phil.

Will it also work on the Freelander Mk1 TD4?

Phil, this could be a true game changer!

As far as my understanding goes, would this enable any owner or mini group of owners (depending on the no of effective seats, VIN's), to interrogate their vehicles for Faults and Disable/Enable particular " Dealer" level Settings/Options, without the need for a T4 operator, such as yourself, to do so?

I am sure there would be a group of SW members interested!

In terms of a group ownership, what is the maximum number of VIN's that could be licensed to one laptop?

This sounds fantastic. With the relevant data discs, will it also work with the rest of the MGR range? (for my own ends, I'm thinking MEMs2J and the ability to program 5AS fobs )

Have a look at post 41 mate. Phil answered my query and he said you could get 5 on one virtual T4. I thought this would be ideal for us in the SW who do not have a T4 operative close by.

Problem is many of us have 2 x cars down here so 5 would fill up pretty quickly

you could need to source the disks, but the originals are not too hard to find...

I got mine when I bought a T4 which proved to be faulty... but they are out there

Not so sure about this. From my understanding, Phil's hardware for the virtual T4 only reproduces the 75/ZT wiring on the J1962 connector (i.e the "red" connector from a standard T4), while the rest of the range would need the blue, yellow, etc... connectors.

My VT4 is almost a year old, works a treat be it on a low spec Dell machine.
A very handy tool, and a good group of chums in one area would benefit from sharing a machine license set.
Great user interface with guidance built in.
Brilliant toy, but advise a really good spec laptop that is for the soul purpose of VT4 because of the environments it would be subjected to, also a good battery capacity!
Have fun guys.
