Make that a positive yes for me please.

Unfortunately Ros won’t be able to attend so it will just be me.

I have had a phone call from Lilian this morning and would have expected Brian to have had one as well. Lilian will be sending out final details after Christmas reference Derek's funeral. will keep you all posted.

I dont mean any offence to you Tim, but we dont know what the family’s wishes are, or what Derek’s wishes were.
No offence taken, sadly I'm not able to attend, just wondered if its something someone may consider/suggest...and maybe a procession of 75/ZT's follow the hearse if of course its to the familys agreement.

Personally I think it would be a nice touch, and Derek would likely approve, but as you say , its at the family’s call.

I have just read through the whole of this thread and the comments are a testament to all of the qualities that Derek possessed. As has been stated time and time again, he was a true gentleman in every sense of the word.
I had the pleasure of talking to him at national meets and his enthusiasm was there for all to see.
RIP Derek

I have managed to sort out some transport other than my van, to get to the service, so I can pretty much say I"m a definite, unless something crops up between now and then.

The World and this forum will be a poorer place without Windrush, the elder statesman of the club, loved and respected by all who met him. A gentleman and, a gentle man. Our deepest condolences go out to Lilian and his family.

Rest in peace Derek, I salute you Sir.
Somewhat belatedly on the forum, I cannot add many more words to what Tim has expressed so eloquently. Derek was one of the finest men I have ever met, and the news of his departure was indeed sad news.... My sincere thoughts and condolonces go out to Lillian, their families and friends..... R.I.P. Derek, you gave your all.... in all things....... You will always be remembered.........
