Nice one Mike, hope it works out for you. If you need a Capri or two to write about then look no further, I have plenty of pics.

My youngest has just finished her first year of University. We managed to fill three cars loads of her stuff, both Capri's and the Dacia filled to the roof.

When we moved her in last September we loaded only two cars, how do they accumulate so much stuff in just a short space of time?

I learnt my lesson last time, so this time I bought the sack trucks with us, Oh Wow! made the task extremely easy, sure does helps those aches and pains.

It's been awhile since the wife and I have managed to get out, but today we grabbed the bull by the horns and took both Capri's out for a spin. A nice little run out to Bournemouth and up on the cliffs for a leisurely afternoon, just what the doctor ordered.

Photo taken today, looks like it was taken 40 years ago.

Just need for Bodie and Doyle to turn up.

A friend used to have one of the original 3.1 Capri's which he sold to buy a 50's Chevy pick-up with fat wheels & a Mini sports steering wheel. Blimey that thing needed PAS.
The Capri went like stink & the guys who bought it were all over it for an hour ensuring it was the real thing, they drove it away happy.

The first car l ever drove was a Frogeye Sprite & we still have one in the family.

Yes those 3.1s were monsters at the time, I wonder if they would feel as fast these days?

A guy I worked with many years ago had a MK3 Ghia Auto, he had managed to find a 3.1 engine from a wreck. He fiited it into his MK3 and that was a rocket ship, the problem was the gearbox protested and lost top and reverse, it was overhauled but with a couple of months it happened again. The company who did the first overhaul did it again with some upgrades. Sadly a few weeks later he lost control and it was written off.

Did someone say the summer is coming... time to get the girls out for a play.

We have been street sign hunting, sad I know, but we might as well add some miles on the old girl.

I just had too... humour me please.

A lovely looking motor there Wes.

I like the signage hunting.
It is a good job that you didn't buy a BMW:-
