Default Gear box oil cooler

Is a gearbox oil cooler the same on a manual diesel as it is on an automatic diesel as mine is leaking oil at the hose where it enters the cooler?

He may have just assumed the manual also has an oil cooler fitted, which of course we know it hasn't.

Possibly thinking that if one was fitted to the manual and he appears to need to change it, that a manual would be easier to obtain S/H than an auto.
