Buy a second-hand pair and refurb them . That's what I did when I wanted to renew the valve stem oil seals , and take my time
I had a look on Rimmers and notice the 2.0 v6 version (when in stock ) is only £880 ! Apart from the camshafts I believe they are the same as the 2.5 ?

hi chris. yes i saw them on rimmers but only the left bank was available, meaning you still need one of the other pricey ones for a pair. looking at the price of rimmer spares to refurb a badly damaged unit would be very expensive, depending of course what needs replacing. i dont need anything at the moment but just thinking of what maybe one day ..... but hopefully not !!

About 3 years ago I was lucky to get a new head on sale from Rimmers for under 400. They brought it in from their suppliers who must have had a pile of them to sell them for that price. Looks like I got lucky!

Rimmers will knock a good discount off higher priced items, just give them a call and ask, they have done this for me on a few occasions.
