Beneath the battery box is the abs stuff located. But when it works you would notice that while braking. There is a pump in there and pistons (one for each wheel) and renewing the brake fluid would be one of the things I would trying.

Perhaps something became loose and needs putting back. I have this with a few hoses in that area that come undone from time to time..., but no noises.

Don't know but could it be one of the engine mounts? Had no issues myself, but could give perhaps a like wise noise.

Rob

Could it be the abs pump. Has anyone experienced ticking from this and what it could mean. The ABS light comes on as normal and off again.

Default Noisy ABS pump

I have a noisy ABS pump too. If I don't disconnect the battery it flattens overnight and the ABS ight is on and the speedo doesn't work. A mechanic has said that I have to replace the pump. The noise sounds like someone using one of those tyre inflators though, not a ticking. Has anyone else had this problem?

Russ is less than ten minutes away in Liversedge, nothing he doesn't know about our cars and he makes a mean cup of tea! You can send him a message by clicking here.
