In the '90s I was flying down to Gatwick en route to the Philippines. The flight from Edinburgh was delayed several hours due to high winds in the south. Eventually we took off, but the winds around Gatwick were still bad. I'd done aerobatics etc in the air cadets but the landing frightened me, took a while to get my fingernails out of the armrest!

A couple of years ago a car transporter ship at Southampton had a bulging side due to the load coming lose and moving about.
New lorries written off, bent not just damaged.
Mother nature every now and then, shows us just how powerful she is.
