Hopefully it was a Corteco one with a new bolt, also did you order some new belts at the same time if not links below.

Thanks Arctic, it was indeed a corteco, not ordered belts as yet, so thank for posting these links.

Had a day off from spending money on the Rover and spent some on my Honda CBF125 instead.

Found a Garage who can do the Crankshaft Pulley on the 75, it's been a bit of a headache trying to find someone to do it, is it because they are offput because it's a Rover!

Sometimes wish I was more practical!

I've found an MG Rover specialist now who's happy to do anything on my car but before I did I struggled to find a local garage prepared to do any work on it. Just the word "Rover" was enough to send them heading for the hills.

I think the lack of any main dealer support for spares is one of the major issues for them. DMGRS and Rimmer's are both good but of course the stuff has to be posted out which takes 2-3 days whereas a main dealer normally has most items on the shelf.

Yeah I need to find a specialist or a garage in my area that's happy to work on the car, my last car I used a specialist that worked on Renault's and Nissan's. I am used to having cars serviced by main dealer as most of my cars have been bought from big car dealers.

Today I checked the rear bearings to start with and found the o/s/r to be the issue. To make it a quick job , I rang the local ECP where I get a trade discount and choked at the price of £70 . I opened the box at the counter to find oily finger prints over the new part . As it was the only one in stock I said I'll chance it but I'm not happy.

I cleaned the back plate corrosion, fitted the part and went for a road test. The abs light was on within 10 feet ! I went for a drive anyway and the drone had gone but I came straight home and removed the part and refitted my old one again and headed back to the shop to complain and the abs light went out.

I got a refund and will order a hub from another supplier
Hub arrived from DMGRS with some sweeties and was cheaper than than ECP even with postage and has a 2 year guarantee and with a new cap and nut.

Worked straight out of the box with no ABS issue or noise

Bacon saved yet again by DMGRS
