There's an interesting possible scenario here in that with western countries rejecting purchase of Russian oil, the Russian's will have to sell at discounted prices to the countries who need oil for their industries and are willing to buy it from them. This means industries in China, India, Turkey....could benefit from lower oil prices.

Yes lots going on with Russian oil & gas off the cards for the west now. I see the USA has sent two officials to Venezuela to talk oil with Maduro after sending assassination squad to kill him & sanction his country into the stone age.

My local station increased 10p over night on both diesel and unleaded. I was £105 to brim the car a few days ago.

Blimey! That's outrageous I think the days of putting a tenner in to see you through the week are gone. I see it's hit $139/barrel. https://www.fleetnews.co.uk/news/car...el-prices-soar

Think the budget's in a couple of weeks?

Maybe the Chancellor will provide some relief?

Then again maybe not.

Then again it could be all over and the world has ceased to exist as we know it.

Perhaps they are there with the same 'offer' this time but for a different reason. Sell us oil cheaply or else.....

That makes it an almost 20p rise in around a week the other garage about a mile away is always 4-5p more expensive so will see what price that is tomorrow. We normally use 3 tanks a month between both cars.
Will be trying to use the car a lot less nowadays.
