I'm still using mine, though as usual I'm sensible about when I do. It is a KV6 petrol - but with the added bonus of an lpg conversion (been on lpg since 2000, what a saving, I was doing 20k miles ps before retiring). Morrisons upped there price from 57p to 72p after the panic buying last dec (?), that was a shock, but the local* gas supplier was still around 52p last time I went in. I get the same mpg on gas or petrol.
(*Local to me means around 15 miles away whichever direction I travel; I fill up whenevr I go past the pumps). |

Bull bars are a must Why is it that when you park on an empty section of car park the furthest away from the shop there is always a car parked two inches from the side of your car and no other cars anywhere. I have a theory, but it would stir up too much trouble |

Funnily enough I just swapped over the 1.8 75 with the 2.5 ZT as the ZT needs some exercise. I don't tend to do huge mileage so 28mpg v 35 mpg won't hurt too much.

It's a rather silly situation - but one we're all faced with and must deal with.
Unfortunately I'm testing a few products on our ZS180, as is Scott with the ZT260 down at Southampton HQ - so not much we can do to avoid the associated bills (other than a bit less right foot!)

The fuel boat stopped by today to fill my narrowboat's fuel tank, I get it topped up every three weeks or so whenever he passes.
I last fuelled up on 16th February and red diesel then was £1.00 per litre, today it was £1.28 per litre. And as VAT on red diesel is only 5%, this 28% rise in cost won't have been as big an increase as DERV. At work I drive an articulated lorry, it does 8.5 mpg. It will take a month or two, but my employer's increased fuel costs will feed through to the shop till in the coming months. There are difficult waters ahead. |

i saw this coming
in October 2021 i brought five tanks Jerry cans 6 litres each. i kept those in my garage as emergency fuel. I still have not used them as that was bought at £1.29 L. however my Rover 75 Diesel tourer is in full operation and will continue to drive it , i have fairly new Jaguar xf R sport in the garage, however still think the R75 is pound for pound a better car.
ill continue to use this regardless of the Cabal war in Russia...........and all those who think they are safe with battery cars... oh dear..... electrical and gas prices are coming next and make derv fuel look cheap..... and food higher than that. |
