This one for the bikers...
These are the new Harley Sportsters - liquid cooled V-twins!
https://www.harley-davidson.com/gb/e...nightster.html I have to say I love the look although a pair of shotgun exhausts like on the Virago 535 would have looked better.

Are you going to ride it over for the bike show on the 7th May Andy?

Got rid of my Fj1200, got too heavy for me, chopped it in for a new Enfield interceptor, much easier to ride. Still use my Triumph T21 as well

Never particularly liked Harleys, in my biking days always had Hondas apart from the Norton Commando. Had everything from a C90 stepthru to a 1500 Goldwing. Only went to four wheels after I got married.

Not sure if this liquid cooling and overhead cams will ever catch on.
A good looking bike though. I rode a mate's Sportster 883, back in the 90s. A truly awful thing IMHO, but it looks like they have come a long way since then.

Not for me, I like an engine to look like an engine, to me, that looks like the ‘engine’ in one of those kids battery powered bikes. Me and a workmate often look at bikes while on break, and I was surprised when we went on the Harley site and couldn’t find a single model either of us would be even slightly tempted by.
TBH there are very few new bikes that I think look nice these days, I’ve only got my 2017 Royal Enfield now, which I’ll keep until petrol is hard to get, and then stop riding as no interest in electric bikes. |
