I remember when the traincrews were issued with mobile phones . . . . jeez! One idiot even managed to change the language settings to Arabic! The only way we could return it to English was by having two phones side by side, go through the language steps on an "English" one and mirror the steps on the "Arabic" one.

Morning. Kitchen duties. Last night Ging messaged me "can you make spring rolls?". I replied not a lot of wrappers, her response was that I should go and get some . . . . one problem with that. The Chinese supermarkets in Edinburgh don't open til 10 on a Sunday, by the time I get home its around noon, preparation and start cooking the filling around one, no way in hell would it cook and cool down enough to make then cook the spring rolls in time for Ging to take them to work. Now on plan B, make as many as I can with the wrappers we have.

By the way, cooking oil is starting to be a problem up here. Had to go out to get the mince etc for the spring rolls, needed cooking oil as well. None in Lidl, none in B&M, none in the Coop, finally got the last two bottles in a wee Indian owned shop.
