Cool

Changed Banana’s climate control panel for a spare. No illumination in the old one, which was fitted back in April 2015 by Darren Wymann.

Default Unions to Crowns

Took the Unions off and put my refurb'd Crowns back on.
Not everyone's cup of tea but I do like Crowns!
I promise myself one day I'll get my Serpents on!
Happy Roving all
John

Just removed the rear window rubber/chrome trim, sealed all the clips, then put it all back together with a brand new window trim. The one on the car was literally falling apart.

New discs, pads and wear sensor on the front. Thought I wouldn't need a new wear sensor as the light was not on, but when I went to do the job on bank holiday Monday I found the wire was on the point of breaking. Never mind as I was caught out by the lack of 7mm Allen key anyway.

So 7mm Allen key socket and wear sensor ordered on top of the discs and pads that had already arrived from DMGRS.

Followed the Haynes method and clamped the brake hoses and opened the bleed valve when winding the calipers back, but didn't read to the end of the paragraph and so didn't close the valve BEFORE the piston was fully back. Think I let some air in this way but a quick bleed and the pedal seems nice and firm again.

Default Sunday drive.

Brimmed the ZT-T tank and had a trek out to Lowestoft to pick up a nice undamaged set of hairpins (for not a lot of money!)
Had a good run both ways, only saw one 75 during the whole journey, a nice looking Copperleaf red facelift saloon, a Contemporary looking at the wheels and colour coded trim.
Car ran faultlessly and only used just under (an indicated) quarter of a tank for the 182 mile journey - not bad for a 190 V6

That's amazing for a 190 V6. Wish I could get over 700 miles out of a tank on mine!

Took the ZT up to visit the motorhome at it's storage yard. Only about a 20 mile round trip but good to stretch it's legs.

I know a 190 will never get near 700 miles to a full tank of fuel that's why I said 'indicated', surprised me as the fuel gauge is normally fairly accurate.
I usually manage about 400-odd miles to a full tank if I can refrain from a bit of 'musical throttle' driving
