Somebody should start a new pressure group to transfer enough coppers from the Met to Durham to ensure a majority on the management committee that decides who gets fined. Fat chance of that.

That’s taking far too long. I think the only update was on 1/2/22 and that covered the following questions:
What was the nature of the gathering? Did the gatherings break the law? Did the gatherings break Covid guidance? Who was responsible for the gatherings? What did the PM know? I’m sure Ms. Gray is above reproach but what else could anybody do to ‘throw more light’ on what/why/who than the answers already on file? Starmer's event was virtually identical with almost too much evidence. That would take only two days to fill the form at most. I suspect a bit of back room adjustment and wordology is going on. The longer the delay the deeper the suspicion.

The only bit that has interested me is Ms Rayner and her leg crossing because it has reinforced my opinion that good legs do make for a pleasurably experience for the beholder. Chris S.

Well the fines are all sent, the money is in and case now closed:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-61508110 Over to you Ms Gray. Interesting to see beeb have opened a HYS on the subject and the rabid proletariat are airing their views, strange that the beeb didn't open a comments page when it was announced that nice Mr. Starmer was under investigation. You notice that Starmer initially said that 6 people were in the room, then it became 10, then 15 and then 20 which is I think the latest number. |

Makes not one bit of difference they are all liars, cannot answer a simple yes or no question, how many other jobs do you know of that you can drink alcohol while being a work, isn't it supposed to cloud your judgement, maybe that's why we are in the mess we are they are all under the influence of drink and or drugs. Totally corrupt from the very top to the bottom, even your own little MP up the road.

Couldn't agree more; Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Few years back a group of my former colleagues were on a jolly to a power station in Canada. As a thank you at the end of said jolly they brought in a case of alcohol. Oh dear. Unfortunately because of the company's and country's rules alcohol was not allowed on the site. The site manager had to call the police have them arrested and the alcohol confiscated. Thankfully all was explained and they were released and sent on their merry way. Sadly we get the politicians we deserve, don't think anyone decent, trust worthy or honourable individual would put themselves forward to be honest.
