The Stupid / Ill educated Ebay Adverts Thread
I have seen several adverts for 75's on the Bay lately, advertising Cars with "Rare" 5 speed boxes?
Now, I remember once upon a time that an Advert for TR7's with a 5 Speed Box was rare but a 75? BMW Built KV6 Engines? 2.5 V6's returning 45Mpg? But my favourite has to be the Fitted Sat Nav TV that "Works perfectly"...... Hmm The UK is now Digital, the TV is analog............. Then there are those who kind of get mixed up......... "Immaculate bodywork" ....... "Small dent in driver and rear passenger door, Scuffs on Bumpers" "Includes private plate" --- Plate spells A11 KAK....... Hmm, great selling point (Autotrader ad) Then those who really needed to think it through......... "Drove great until the head gasket went".............. "Clutch gone, will need trailering away" - Yeah state the obvious !

A lot of ebay listings seem very differnet to the cars, I am just looking at 1 that seems a really good buy. its a 2.5 190+ manual but when you run the registration in the insurance it comes up as a 2.5 180+ Automatic????? and this is well before i HPI it

Well, the RAF shot plenty in WW2 - Perhaps they got mixed up between BMW and Daimler?

When I bought my first 75, it was advertised as a special edition Jaguar built car. When I phoned the guy he told me that Jaguar built the last of the 75s for Rover in 2003 !!! When I went to see it, every Rover badge had been removed and it had a Jaguar badge on the front grille and rear tailgate. Total plonker.
(I actually bought it) |

I'd have to take issue with this.. the fact theres no signal to recive does not mean its not working. it will receive static perfectly! and is still working as intended.. so it's totally correct to say it's working perfetly

Mine work perfectly then! In saying that.. the static is far more entertaining than most of the dross on the TV anyway.
