You would have been better getting one of these, and you would still be dealing with an engine you know and most parts the same as R40. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144504165107 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284818207806

I could of lived with it just needing an O2 sensor, but everything else on top has been truly depressing.

You know what they say Dave:- you live and learn. Problem is, it is sometimes expensive.

Don't understand why the 18" wheels would foul the bodywork unless the tyres were the wrong size or the suspension has been tinkered with.

I don't understand either TBH, but the 5 16" alloys I bought were the same as 2 new 18" tires, so it was kind of a no brainer really.

Today, I managed to finally get round to bolting up the rear speaker assembly, back up onto it's mountings in side the boot, changed the two grill securing grommets & inserts, because when i removed my grill to secure the DRL wiring, one of the plastic bobbins fell out and rolled down a roadside drain, And finally i finished off wiring my running lights to the fuse box, after buying the wrong type of piggyback first time round.

Oil and filter change done to Lagetha and over 100 miles driven since.
The mechanic who sorted the work was an ex-Rover apprentice, and he was impressed with the condition of my 22 year old car... "She's a real credit to you," he assured me, "How long have you owned it?" I pondered for a moment before replying, "Thank you, nearly seven weeks". LOL

Today my 75 got 2 new rear coils and shocks. Last week was 4 new tyres. What's next? A service wouldn't hurt. It's a good job I love my 75.....

What I did with my Rover 75/MG ZT today?
Took marmite for an MOT.
Mot was previously booked for august, but jumped at a cancellation that I got yesterday. Failed on 2 rear outer sills and a front inner near side sill. Kinda expected. That’s the third 75 with the same problem in a year. 🙄 New sills now on order from mr Tom Hobbs. I might delegate the bodywork cutting, welding & filling to someone else this time, as my own handiwork on the last one was a bit below par. 🤔. (I only tackled it myself, with the help of father in law as, well, - it wasn’t that pretty anyway.. - you have to try something once 😃. But, it’s functional. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
