Some Mods on my car over the years
I was just thinking the other day, when I was debating when to stop driving,
I am 88 now and have a licence for another 3 years. Anyway I got to thinking of the mods done during my ownership. Starting at the front: Front parking sensors, Rick Sta's super duper headlights with DLRs' Kaiser's metal thermostat housing, then a personal mod to bring a connection from battery terminals to a socket inside the car to allow me to use solar charger in my garage. (this due to size of garage, can't get to battery when in,) Navall 2 , Front and rear cameras which switch off if battery down to 11.5v,Tire pressure monitor, HUD display showing speed and water temp, Rick Sta's led door sill plates, and finally in the boot: Auxiliary power supply, boot release button and reversing camera. I also have two unwanted mods, both my fault, scuffed paintwork on front bumper and poorly nearside mirror. (still works though) Terry |

My Dad turns 90 this year and has mentioned giving up when the MoT test is due on his car.
He'll save money by getting taxis for the few runs he does. |

75 mods
Hello Terry,
Well done driving your 75 at 88. I hope I will be able to do the same. You mentioned a mechanic in Retford. Could you please send me his details? I live in Doncaster, (born in Ranskill ) and sometimes need a skilled chap to work on my diesel auto 75. All the best John (Diesel Driver). |
