Default leaking hose

Please can someone tell me what this hose is for and where to get a replacement, it's connected to a metal box on the right hand side of the oil filter going to the engine, it's about 10in long 1in diameter and L shaped, it's leaking. not even sure what it's leaking out, the fluid is oily and clear, it could be oil I cant remember if I put new oil in before it was on sorn 2 years ago. Thanks Dave.

Hi Dave.
Can you see the hose in the photo below.

PS try and get your self a cheap set of sockets you need 8mm for engine cover bolts which there are three of which you most likely know anyways.

It maybe this hose in the diagram on Rimmers.

Coming from the oil cooler into the coolant pipe.

Hi Dave.
Yes i remember, if you can check and feel round the hose to see if it secure, the hose should only have coolant passing through, even though it's joined to the oil cooler, which as different chambers inside sometimes the seals inside can fail and then you get a mix of of coolant & oil together, when completely failed you would maybe see some light gunk on the header tank cap, as in the link below hopefully it's not got to that point.

Both joints feel ok, header tank is clean, I don't wont to run the engine until I fit new pipe, on it's way from Rimmers. Just now the alarm has started going off for no apparent reason shortly after locking!

Cars' unused for quite some time have their own way of getting revenge for being neglected.----

Hope that's the only revenge, I opened and closed all the doors and bonnet and it seems to have settled down.

New pipe arrived today, I bought cheap socket set from argos and changed pipe. Disaster! it's not the rubber pie that's leaking it's coming from the metal pipe it's connected to, seems like it's the joint where the small elbow is welded.
