Afternoon all just for a change it’s pis..... er I mean chucking it down. Thoughts with you today Bob, anniversaries are never easy, I speak from experience having had 2 recently myself. I think this year for many it has been harder to get through the anniversary of a loved one’s passing with being cooped up and not able to go out and interact with friends to take our kind of things.
Rod, again I can relate to what you are going through having had it in our family too.

Let’s hope that 2021 brings us all good news and good things happening so we can kick 2020 up the a r s e..

Just to amplify on my post of Tuesday - my older brother has been diagnosed with kidney cancer, which has already spread to his lungs. They're going to give him radiotherapy and some 'new' cancer drug treatment, but there is little optimism for any positive outcome. Having lost my sister to lung cancer nigh on 2 years ago, it's soul destroying to have another family member succumb in such a short period of time.
What a blow Rod for your brother and yourself, a shock for you to have to bear. I am in complete agreement with Steve, it is true there are new treatments for lung cancer. 5 years ago my younger brother was diagnosed with stage 4 Ca Prostate after having had symptoms for a year. He had surgery to remove the cancer and this was followed by 36 radiations. Radiotherapy removed the cancer. He remained free of the disease for nearly 4 years, but in February, a scan showed it had returned and it spread to the bones. The treatment he is on slows down the spread and makes the cancer slow growing. He visits his GP once a month for hormone injections and he is still
working as a Bobby fielding 999 calls.

Jessica and I send you our thoughts and support at this difficult time.

Hmm . . . . GP surgery has sent out a blanket text to all patients warning about a worrying increase in covid cases in the local area. Anybody know if Everest double glazing supplies airlocks

Just finished slaving over a hot stove! Mentioned my other half is working nightshift over Christmas, everybody is bringing food in on the 25th and they all want her spring rolls . . . . err . . . . my spring rolls . . . . I make them! Just finished the filling, let it cool and wrap them tomorrow. They're not like the Chinese takeaway spring rolls, hulking great lumps of veg and very little meat, mine are about 60-40 meat to veg but the veg is blitzed so you get the flavour contribution from the veg without the big lumps of carrot etc.

Cool

Had a quiet day in, been packing the calendars ready for dispatch after Christmas, got 27 ready to go. All labelled up. 7 going to Holland, 1 to France and the rest to the UK.

Finished off the last of my beef casserole today.

Worked out the mpg from yesterday’s 197mile round trip. 19.5 mpg, not bad for the V8.

Just chilling with a lemon gin n tonic.
