shhhhhhhhhh .
Don't mention words like that. Its been an expensive time of late as it is. . House move , Washing machine and wheel bearings. Beans on toast for me for the next six months im afraid lol..

Just a quick update.
It was just the wheel bearing ( front ) that needed replacing. The grand total was 135 pounds.

Replaced pcv filter, springs, plenum spy hole mod,Bonnet cable divider mod.
Wax oiled.Air con recharged. Auto box oil changed , Jules plenum guard fitted .Smoked wind deflectors fitted.S/S Compensator.Club Grill Badge kindly donated by Andyg2011..

Well today I've changed that drastic rubber boot on lower ball joint (what a pain)
Changed front pads and checked and cleaned all brake lines.
Also checked all front suspension why wheels was off.
So tomorrow check & clean the back brakes and everything else
Hopefully then it will be all sorted for mot next week

Managed to remove the needles from 2 e39 clusters to have illuminated needles after my visit to PhilT4

New rear wheel bearings..both side done in under an hour..
then a front side light bulb..which took me about as long again as the clip off the back of the bulb flew off and disappeared between the arch liner...argg..

Took The Flying Banana to the Rover SD1 meet in Meldreth. A very nice Escort Mexico came along to visit. Been with the same owner for the last 25 years.

Unhappy

Had to get a puncture (big wood screw in tyre) repaired

Hardly worth it as I need to change all four before too long ... but no choice really since there is no spare & I'm still saving!

Tyre guy was an MG fan though - TF & MG6 - so had a good chat.
