From what I gather the older technology electric models like Leaf have been left behind by the latest electric ones. But they will all be costly to repair compared to combustion engine cars. 2 huge problems exist: the lack of charging infrastructure/ poor quality charging and the fact that there is insufficient electricity for everyone to go electric. I foresee electric being frog-leaped by hydrogen cells or some new novel technology.
