A friend of mine owns one of these, they were several made for the movie. One is also standing at the Heritage Centre in Gaydon.

They were built on 101 chassis'.
The 101 was a "built for the Army" gun carriage that was never sold to the public but many now exist in private hands. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_R...orward_Control The Ambulance version makes an awesome camper van https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwLMVgyLpFI |

Fantastic looking machine, I remember sitting in the one at Gaydon a few years back.
BTW if you look at the reflection in the window, does it remind you of the "Green Goddess" fire engine. With that tool box for a grille or is just me ! Sorry looking again it's not a tool box it's some sort of slatted fencing. Last edited by Jim Jamieson; 26th November 2015 at 22:35.. Reason: add text |

Us 2000AD readers despaired when Stallone bought the film rights & we were right to. Old Sly couldn't wait to get that helmet off & strut around with his goofy sidekick in tow. The one made a couple of years back now, that's Dredd, straight down the line. Karl Urban is superb in the part, even down to the curve of Dredd's scowl. It's a real shame that box office returns weren't big enough to inspire a sequel or two.

Thread moved to a more appropriate forum. Re-direct left in old. This may be the better forum as threads get ‘lost’ very quickly in the General Forum.
