Yes that was what I was thinking it could work for you, but also make sure as above it is lined up correctly, mine was touching a little until I twisted the back box a little then clamped it tight.

I'm not hugely confident about the bends Steve. Here's a side-on pic of the hanger. I'll have to get it red hot to straighten the existing bend, let it cool down, then get it red hot again to put the new bend in. What's the likelihood of all that heat weakening the weld?
