I'm on my third statin, 5mg rosuvastatin. I thought I was doing fine but the low dose only meant the side effects (muscle and joint aches and pains) took longer to build up. I've just started a sabbatical, off them for a couple of weeks then start back with one every other day. The first one, 10mg atorvastatin, aches and pains started after about 5-6 weeks, the next one, 10mg simvastatin was even worse, after 5-6 weeks I was like an arthritic 90 year old in the mornings! If starting the every other day routine doesn't help there's another one he's talking about trying, can't remember the name he mentioned.

This morning my younger relatives have gone up the Rift Valley on a jolly zip lining, 300 feet over a gorge and forest, 6 lines, yikes! I was invited to join them, but decided I still need some more rehab before attempting such foolery.

Morning Phil. When I was serving in the Army a group of us went on a Klettersteige in either southern Germany or the Alps. Anyway we had a great time and really enjoyed it even though it was pretty scary at times
