G/day sports, National Burger day today so an easy tea for me to knock up tonight. I gave Caroline's ZT a good wash and general clean this morning so I'll be in her good books when she get's home from work in a couple of hours time .

A question for you - where has 2017 gone ?!?
Friday (aka shopping day) has come round again - about three days after the last one?
This is the last Bank Holiday weekend before (whisper it quietly) Christmas?
It's only 5 months to ANOTHER one of my birthdays?

Life is passing me by at an ever increasing rate of knots
I know September next week
2017 has been turbo charged.

Sorry to swear Rod but heating time is not far away

Just had the boiler serviced in preparation mate - but the usual terms will apply - "not to be switched on until December 1st."

I'm on the verge of booking a couple of weeks' holiday - for June 2018, but at 2017 prices. I'll look a bit sick if they reduce next year's prices in January won't I

Its a lovely day for it

I have just been admiring your beautiful garden. A garden like that takes a lot of work throughout the year. Its nice to see the gardening has paid off Freddie and you can sit out and enjoy seeing the planes do their flyby

G'day Phil - how are you - still moving onwards and upwards I hope?
I hope Jessica is well too?

We're having a peaceful Bank Holiday weekend - son, daughter-in-law and grandkids are camping in South Western Scotland, daughter and husband-to-be are in their tent at the quaintly-named Wombleton Camp Site on the Southern edge of the North Yorks. Moors - so we're on our own

It won't do you any harm to have a quiet weekend away from being a socialite and since you were back from tour, it looks as though its been non-stop for Angela and yourself Rod, what with the family, the repairs to the garage, doing the shopping and the mysterious social club till, losing your best friend, must have taken it out of you. Your certainly deserve some R&R.

I speak with Jessica once or twice a day on whats app. She is doing okay. I had a reminder this afternoon, that I must be careful not to do any lifting. I strained myself a wee bit, removing some draws from an old writing bureau in the lounge.

When I lifted the top one out it was ok. The second one lower down was heavier and boy, did I feel it. So I have left the other two draws. There is a stink coming from the bureau and there must be a dead mouse in it. A mate is due to come round later on today or tomorrow and he said he will find it and dispose of it for me. Its an old house and mice is a problem. Its just as well, Jessica is not here as she would not like it

I got back in time from my travels to catch some of the Airshow but I've spent all week taking photos and I couldn't muster the enthusiasm

It's been nice and sunny all day so I'm sure those that ventured down to the seafront got a good show

Back home, not sure how long for! After what happened we went to Morecambe, just to get Ging out of the house and give something her else to think about. Apologies to any members from Morecambe but jeez, that place has seen better days! Its like a post apocalyptic vision of Blackpool Saw Eric Morecambe's statue, frankly the only thing worth seeing there. The main reason we went there was to give the girls a run on the beach, dogs are banned from the beach.
